Glomerulonephritis Care Plan

Activity intolerance related to protein deficiency and renal dysfunction.

Purpose: The client can tolerate the activities recommended.

Intervention:
  1. Monitor deficiency excessive protein (proteinuria, albuminuria).
  2. Use dietary protein to replace the missing protein.
  3. Give a diet high in protein and high in carbohydrates.
  4. Instruct the patient to bed rest.
  5. Provide training for activity restriction.
  6. Plan activities with rest periods.
  7. Plan a progressive way to return to normal activity; evaluation of blood pressure and urine protein output.

Rationale:
  1. Excessive protein deficiency can cause fatigue.
  2. Adequate diet, can restore lost proteins.
  3. High protein and high in carbohydrates to function replaces.
  4. Bedrest reduce energy use.
  5. Exercise is important for maintaining muscle Tunos.
  6. The balance of activity and rest maintain freshness.
  7. Activities are gradually maintain balance and not exacerbate the disease process.
